- Welcome to Our Magic Confetti!
If this is your first visit to our website, we're thrilled to welcome you! You've chosen an excellent day to discover us, as today marks the start of our blogging adventure. I decided to kick off my first blog post in a rather expected way by sharing the story of the chair that started this entire journey. In 2020-2022, I followed several influencers on Instagram who showcased beautiful parties. Many of these events featured elegantly decorated children's tables and bounce houses. With a passion for party planning and decorating, I was eager to enter the industry. On a random day in April 2022, I decided to take a leap of faith and established Our Magic Confetti, aiming to launch the business by renting out bounce houses. At that time, there were few vendors in my area offering aesthetically pleasing bounce house or castle rentals, and I believed this was an excellent way to begin. After extensive research, my husband and I decided to postpone the idea. It didn't seem like the right fit for us at the time, and we thought we could revisit it later. During my Pinterest and Instagram browsing, I noticed a lot of rattan peacock chairs at showers and weddings, so I redirected my focus on that. We found a fantastic seller on Etsy with two wicker/rattan chairs available and had them shipped to us from Georgia. Unfortunately, one wicker chair was in very fragile condition and lasted only a year. However, our rattan chair, which we named Luella, quickly became a favorite among our clients and remains our best seller. Soon after our website went live, we secured our first client. Even now, I am still amazed by the initial event we showcased for her. My client meticulously planned and styled her sister's entire bridal shower. Her attention to detail was flawless, and every aspect was perfect. I couldn't have wished for a more stunning setting to capture our first photos of Luella. After introducing our Luella chair to our collection, we've expanded with more rattan pieces, providing our clients with numerous options for event space decoration. If this style is what you're seeking to make your next event a show stopper, we're thrilled to assist you! Thank you for being here and let us know how we can sprinkle some of our magic confetti on your upcoming event! Jessica The bridal shower took place at Osteria Santina located in Staten Island, NY. Hannah Jean Photography captured stunning photos of the event. The floral arrangements were crafted by Langdon of Tribeca, and The Balloon Babe NYC designed the balloons. If you're seeking personalized gifts and items, my exceptionally talented client, who styled this beautiful shower, has a small business page on Instagram called Created and Cut.
- Circus First Birthday Party
About a year ago, I stumbled upon an adorable set of circus animal table decorations at Home Goods. I sometimes purchase items with future events in mind, believing they can make charming centerpieces or accent pieces for a dessert table. Recently, I found them in my storage and thought it would be interesting to challenge myself by creating posts focused on designing a party around a single item. For this post, I chose my circus animal table decor to plan a circus-themed first birthday party. Charming circus-themed tabletop decor. This piece features an adorable monkey illustration, perfect for festive centerpiece rentals. This event marks a little boy's first birthday with a unique "Come ONE come all" spin to match the circus theme. The primary colors for the party will be white, dusty blue, maroon, and gold. I think these colors are neutral enough to fit a celebration for either a girl or a boy. However, if you wish to include a touch of pink, a blush shade would beautifully enhance the current palette. This party could also be suitable for celebrating a child of any age or as a theme for a baby shower. I have created circus-themed first birthday party invitations and a welcome sign using the same font and imagery. This will establish a cohesive atmosphere for your guests as they arrive and see a welcome sign that aligns with the invitation you sent. If you'd like to use these invitations, I can offer you a free Canva link where you can access, personalize, and print them for your occasion. Simply comment "Invite" below, and I'll provide you with the link. To create amazing photo opportunities throughout the party and during the famous cake smash, I have designed a white arch backdrop decorated with a balloon garland in dusty blue, maroon, and gold across the top and down the side. The backdrop features the sign "Isaiah is One," with details matching the invitations and welcome sign for a unified design. We recently acquired a vintage high chair and plan to start renting it out soon for first birthday celebrations! It will be white, like the mockup photo, and we are happy to add signs, banners, or balloons to make it a bit more festive! Contact us for more details about that! Additionally, to incorporate more circus elements into the backdrop, a marquee number 1 was included in this mockup. Celebrate in style with a circus-themed first birthday bash! Featuring festive balloon arches, a marquee number "1," and whimsical decorations, this "Come ONE come all" party setup promises a magical day for a special milestone birthday. For the table setup, I've incorporated one of the circus animal decorations from HomeGoods, along with a small floral centerpiece. The flowers are arranged in a white and gold popcorn box to emphasize the circus theme. The arrangement features white roses, maroon roses, eucalyptus, and silver brunia. I believe maroon dahlias and blue thistle would complement the white roses beautifully if you want to add more flowers. Additionally, I've included a table runner to add more of the dusty blue hue. A party wouldn't be complete without plates and napkins that match the theme! I discovered these charming gold star napkins and scalloped plates that align with the party's color scheme. The gold star on each plate serves as a place card, with each guest's name written on it to designate seating arrangements. To enhance the guests' immersion into the theme, I would also provide a popcorn and cotton candy vendor, a balloon artist, a soft play area or bounce house for children, a coloring station equipped with crayons and custom circus-themed coloring books that can double as party favors, and music for dancing! Share your thoughts in the comments if you have more party ideas! I'm particularly interested in food suggestions. What would you serve? Thank you for being here, and let us know how we can sprinkle some of our magic confetti on your upcoming event! Jessica
- Whimsical Sweet Sixteen Celebration
The event I am sharing today is from a sweet sixteen celebration I helped plan and style this past November. My client had reached out to me regarding my low-lying picnic tables and cushions. Her daughter was interested in decor that centered around a pink and whimsical princess theme. Her inspiration images featured a cascade of flowers and candles across the table, complemented by lovely floral prints. Upon viewing these photos and hearing my client's ideas, I realized this was the kind of party I would have loved as a young girl approaching her sixteenth birthday. I was thrilled to take these concepts and turn them into something stunning. I provided my client with a mockup, which I refer to as a vision board. This helps me transform the client's ideas and inspiration photos into a visual depiction of their event vision. Crafting the vision board enables me to showcase various ideas, providing my client with decor options that align with their budget. From the perspective of a client, it can be overwhelming to sift through the plethora of ideas on Pinterest, Instagram, and other social media platforms and wonder how these can be realized affordably. This is where I step in with the vision board to demonstrate that their vision can be transformed into an affordable reality. Florals played a crucial role in the design inspired by the photos sent by my client. To achieve a more regal and princess-like appearance, I opted to use floral prints subtly by incorporating them into the napkins instead of floral tablecloths. For the table linens and runner, I considered the blend of textures commonly seen in royal garments. I selected a stunning velvet blush pink runner and a white tablecloth overlay made of soft tulle, adorned with delicate embroidered flowers and pearls throughout. To infuse a touch of royalty, reminiscent of the jewels on crowns and jewelry, I included items with gold accents, like the candlesticks and plates. I also discovered votive candle holders with glass cuts that resembled the facets of jewels in a crown or piece of jewelry. Regarding the floral arrangements, there was no hesitation in choosing pink as the color. I had offered several options, including the pink ranunculus and stock shown in the photo above, along with various pink shades of carnations. We eventually settled on hot pink carnations and light pink baby's breath to add a more vibrant pink hue to the table. An essential part of the celebration involved arranging the decor for the candle ceremony. We opted for tall tapered candles in various shades of pink, set in gold candlestick holders. To ensure a unified design, we used the same linens and runners from the picnic tables on this table. Additional elements featured geometric glass terrariums with gold trim, fairy lights, and a floral garland draped across the table. The aim for the table's decor was to create a fairytale garden ambiance, reminiscent of a fairy princess storybook. It provided the extra touch of whimsy the birthday girl desired and tied back to the inspiration photos she had shared with the focus on the florals. Here are some photos showcasing the final look from the birthday party. Both my client and her daughter were thrilled with the outcome. I was delighted to create exactly what they wanted for the celebration. We appreciate your visit and would love to hear how we can sprinkle some of our magical confetti on your event!
